D Watch And New Arrivals

So I've been on D-Watch since I finished my course at Manchester. It looks like I'm going to be with them for a while now. I think I'm well matched as the watches do have a personality and D-watch is a by the book watch. That's no bad thing.
Back at home the flat is looking good and Beccy and I are playing host to a friend from air traffic control school, Matt, who like me was sent to Manchester with no where to live. His lady friend, Holly, came to stay this weekend and hopefully they'll find a flat soon.
Meanwhile I'm still training of course and today was in the tower. So today for one day only when somebody says about my job "oh the people in the tower" I can reply with the affirmative. Never again you understand. However due to there being a rather nice pair of binoculars sat on the table in front of me all afternoon my airplane spotting side came out and I couldn't resist getting a closer look!
But I'm off tomorrow and I'm back in on wednesday and thursday and all being well I'll get some time on the radios and maybe even the telephones. Cool. I've really enjoyed the few sessions I've had in and can't wait to get going full swing.
Anyway this has painted a bit of a worky picture but it's not been all that. On Friday we had guests round for a fun evening of board games. Don't laugh! We had much fun. Weekend before that we had Ol over for saturday lunch and he and I went to get our knees up. In other news I've got a new phone and a new number so eventually I'll get round to texting you all with it. The upshot of this is it's new fangled and "does t'internet" and I can post on my blog. In fact I'm lying in bed right now.
