Two Helpers and a Rather Nice Problem

Today two good friends from work; Matt and Dan, came over to check out the plot and of course I quickly drafted them into various jobs. Matt got to work finishing the bench (one of the locking nuts wouldn't fit in the hole provided) and Dan picked the raspberries. I'm glad they both came actually because two hours of picking later and Dan had four pounds of berries and there's still more to ripen. Meanwhile Matt and I got started on clearing some of the back area. At one point Matt announced "It'd be easier if we had a giant sieve then we could get all the weed roots out"...
...Wait a minute: we do! So the sieve came out for it's first use (I had forgotten that there is a sieve). Very useful indeed but plenty of couch grass and bind weed roots to get rid of.
Since they were such good helpers they took all the berries they could carry and I harvested a lettuce for them to share. That's about all that's ready at the moment; although the potatoes might be done as some of the horns (I think this is the technical term for the green bit which lives above the ground) have finished flowering. Some consultation required with the books me thinks.
But there is a small issue arising which is most excellent, but not easy to overcome. That is the fridge is now full to the brim with lettuces and raspberries and there's no room to put any food. I have been selflessly munching them with a good dollop of greek yoghurt and a sprinkle of Demerara but a bowl full doesn't make much of a dent. So any people who would like to come for a salad and some raspberries you're all welcome anytime in the next week. Place a reservation in the comments (give me a chance to hoover).
